Ozon Generator for Advanced Oxidation Process (AOP)

- Using ozone and UV lamp to produce hydroxyl radicals (OH•) as a strong oxidizer that can break hydrocarbon chains

- Does not use liquid hydrogen peroxide (H₂O₂) compounds that require special handling because they are dangerous

- Chemical catalysts can be added to strengthen the oxidation reaction and increase the pH so that the oxidation reaction can run in more ideal conditions (optional depending on wastewater quality)

Advantages of AOP:

- Able to destroy pollutants that are resistant to biological or physical treatment, including pharmaceutical waste and other complex organic compounds

- Converts organic pollutants into harmless substances such as CO₂, H₂O, and inorganic salts; effectively kills pathogens and microorganisms in wastewater

- Can be designed to adjust to wastewater characteristics and treatment objectives

- Fast reaction rate, so treatment time can be shorter than biological processes
